Had a lovely coffee break at the Broad Street Cafe! Tom was so kind and recommended me the delicious oatmeal raisin cookie. Highly recommend as you walk around the French Quarter.

Great for Quick Eats & Sweet Treats I got a cinnamon bun in hopes my brother in law would split it with me, but he got his own while I was having a nice conversation with the owner about how great the band Genesis is. The played my favorite Genesis Album, Duke. I didn't even tell them it was my favorite, but it's like they knew. I couldn't finish the cinnamon bun because it was so damn big, but I had the 2nd half the next day at it was still good. Great staff, Customer Service Atmosphere and loved talking with the owner about Phil Collins
I’m here at least three times a week and that’s not an exaggeration. It's hard to find a spot that’s consistent, welcoming, and just flat-out good. The owners are phenomenal. They genuinely care. Not in a surface-level way, you can tell they take pride in what they’re building and how they treat people. It’s rare, and it shows in everything they do. My go-to order is the ham and swiss sandwich on ciabatta, add mayo. It's fire! The chicken salad sandwich is another go-to for me, I put it on sourdough. Super refreshing. Another sleeper on the menu is the chicken quesadilla. It’s delicious and easily lasts me two meals. Do your self a favor and go try it.
got a lavender iced latte and a strawberry iced latte (double shot of espresso), both with oat milk, loved them both, the lavender was a lil strong but it was good, the strawberry was sweet 🫶🏻✨
A Smart Pivot I’ve been coming to Broad Street Cafe for a while now, so when I heard they were changing up their menu, I’ll admit I was a little nervous. Made-to-order was great but what they’ve landed on is even better. The shift to hot biscuit breakfast sandwiches, sandwiches and salads has given the cafe a real identity. The biscuit sandwiches are flaky, warm, and stuffed generously. The eggs are so fluffy! They feel homemade in the best way, the kind of thing you start craving before you even finish the last bite. The sandwich and salad options round things out very nicely, keeping it fresh (literally) for people who want something lighter or different. There’s also something for everyone. They now offer GF muffins too. The Broad Street Beef, The Gilded Ham and the Farmer’s Salad are my favorites… What I appreciate most is that the change didn’t sacrifice quality for speed. Everything still feels thoughtful and made with care, just with a tighter, more focused menu. The line moves much better, you don’t smell like food and the staff seems more relaxed. If you haven’t been in since the pivot, give it a shot. Sometimes a cafe figuring out exactly what it wants to be is the best version of itself — and Broad Street Cafe has done just that. Highly recommend The SEC. You’ll know what I mean after the first one!
Came here for a quick bite for breakfast. Chose the jalapeño and cheddar bagel with egg and cheese along with drip coffee. Wonderful spot, great customer service would definitely come back again.
I ordered a lavender latte and it was absolutely delicious smooth, fragrant, and perfectly balanced. The staff had such bright, positive energy that it instantly lifted my mood. The café itself feels warm and cozy, the kind of place you want to linger. The pastries looked amazing too, even though I didn’t get a chance to try them this time.
I’m from Jersey and this is the only place in Charleston that I can get a great breakfast sandwich. Chef Jason is amazing and Tom and his staff are the kindest people. They truly make this cafe feel like a home away from home in Charleston.
